Results from the September 2009 Quarterly New Hampshire Poll are now available. NH residents rate NH business conditions, their personal finances, John Lynch, and Barack Obama.

The first New Hampshire Poll was completed over 30 years ago and while the political players in the state have changed, the major issues have not. In December 1976, concern over high property taxes was the most important problem facing the state and voters were opposed to a state sales tax and a state income tax. Voters were also opposed to state-run gambling. For a look back at some of the numbers and players, go to December 1976.

  52. For the Record:

I used this Program for 2008 also and was the only one who got Indiana & North Carolina right for Obama.

2008 was more of Test as I didn’t know how well this would work so I didn’t publish any Results.

  54. My 2010 predictions:

Senate: GOP wins 7, maybe 10 seats IMO. Dems win maybe 2 seats(MO and NC). Lean Call: GOP +6, with MO going Democratic.

House: Dems win DE-AL and LA-02. GOP wins every Democratic seat on Cooks House Ratings except Bright’s seat(+83 GOP). GOP net gain of +81.

Governorships: GOP wins 11, Dems win 3(AZ, CA, RI). GOP net gain of 8.

  59. SE-779,

    This is my estimate:

    Senate

The GOP will likely easily take Colorado (Norton), Connecticut (Dodd if he stays in) and Arkansas (Lincoln)

Nevada despite Reids bad Poll Numbers is currently iffy to say because Lowden & Tarkanian ain’t that good Candidates. They aren’t Thunes by a longshot.

If Beau does not run in Delaware Castle will take it.

    IL is 50/50

The GOP will likely lose MO as you said and probably NC and NH.

  60. SE…I hope you’re wrong……he, he, he….will be bad time for Obama and the dem’s with those results….I don’t think the bad numbers will last for the dem’s…..

      SE-779,

I forgot North Dakota (if Hoeven runs).

      • ND is part of the 3 that might go GOP, along with IN and CA.

        Comment by SE-779 | December 30, 2009

  62. Beau will run…when healthcare gets done things will calm down for the dem’s…..please read my post on Afghanistan…if the natural resources thing gets out ….your boy Bush might turn out to be a hero…also if McChrystal gets half of what they did in Iraq…things also turn around for Obama….I’m trying to be positive………

    Comment by Merlin (Daniel G.) | December 30, 2009 | Reply

    • I said maybe. DeVore may be stronger than we all contend and the IN-GOP has a big bench to choose from.

      Comment by SE-779 | December 30, 2009 | Reply

      • I’d love seeing Mike Pence to run BUT sadly he hasn’t made any intention doing so.
