Merlin…..PPP Arkansas Senate Poll………

Hi Dog!

I think you just lost the Arkansas Senate Seat of Incumbent Senator Blanche Lincoln (D-AR).

During my Posts yesterday I said very often Game Over for Charlie Crist.

Today I’m going to say: Game Over for Senator Blanche Lincoln (D-AR).

She is TOAST. The only one who runs competitive is Arkansas Governor Mike Beebe (D-AR). Republican Frontrunners, Rep. John N. Boozman (R-AR) as well as State Senator Gilbert Baker have massive leads. Boozman is also well over the 50 % margin.

More strikingly Respondents are saying by a 57-33 margin Senator Blanche Lincoln shouldn’t run for Reelection.

Some Thoughts:

1. Mike Ross on the same Day News leaked that Boozman would run announced that he would seek Reelection.

2. Doesn’t matter currently how you slice it: Voters in Arkansas don’t like Democrats.

3. There could be an “Earthquake” coming in Arkansas this November: Looking at this Poll I seriously doubt Halter or Clark would run in either the Senate Race or the AR – 2 House Race.

4. If nearly two-thirds of Voters doesn’t approve of the Job you’re doing you’re likely not gonna win Reelection.

5. Only Chance for Democrats: Push Lincoln out and convince Governor Mike Beebe to run otherwise you’re the LOSER.

Merlin

  1. Yep, Cornyn picked up a “Golden Nugget” here with Rep. John Boozman (R).

I know he was popular that’s why I kept saying over the last 2 weeks or so Dems would have an MASSIVE UPHILL climb to hold this.

Boozman is in the House since 2001 that’s why he EVEN CAN beat popular Governor Mike Beebe.

Obviously I’m rejoicing very heavily. Still I can feel the Democrats pain here.

    • Man, we’ve had the same Situation in 2008 where Dems were winning nearly everything.

It’s nice to turn that around.

      • james,

Yep, probably he knows that Lincoln is retiring and Beebe will run.

After those Numbers you can expect Plouffe, Rahm and Gaspard working the Phones trying to push Lincoln out and convince Beebe to run.

  6. Merlin, Arkansas DEMOCRATS still control the majority of statewide offices (including the AR Supreme Court) and hold landslide margins in both houses of the General Assembly as well.

Nationally, they vote Republican in Presidential elections (Bill Clinton was the last Democrat to carry his homestate in 1996).

If Hillary had been the Democratic nominee in 2008, she would have at least carried Arkansas and maybe Florida.

  7. James B, I see the GOP picking up the House by gaining somewhere around 30-40 House seats in November, but Democrats hold on in the Senate for dear life with a 12-seat edge at best (56 Dems, 44 GOPers).

  8. Merlin,

    1. Beebe has announced his intent to seek RE-ELECTION as governor, folks don’t like an opportunistic pimp.

    2. If Lincoln is forced out by Obama and Co., Lieutenant Governor Bill Halter (D) or retired Gen. Wesley Clark might run for the Senate seat.

    3. The AR Democrats are likely to sweep the down-ballot statewide offices AGAIN like they did in 2006.

    4. Beebe’s landslide re-election will have COATTAILS.
