Rahm Emanuel gets a pat on the back?

This from a piece in PoliticalWire…….

In Praise of Rahm

Ezra Klein: “It’s a bit weird to see so much blame accruing to Rahm Emanuel for the administration’s woes. Emanuel wasn’t part of the campaign team. He was brought in to help govern. In that capacity, his primary job was shepherding the administration’s agenda through the legislative process. Ugly as that process was, Emanuel — and more to the point, Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi — did a fairly masterful job at it. In the Senate, Democrats got all 60 of their members to sign onto the same large, controversial bill. That’s a legislative achievement [unprecedented] in modern times. Bill Clinton didn’t manage it on any bills of this size and scope, and neither did George W. Bush.”

Klien goes on to say this in his Washington Post piece…which the Dog wholeheartedly agrees………

‘In this way, the lure of 60 votes was probably a curse for the Democrats. It meant they had enough support to build their first-year around major legislative accomplishments rather than adroit political positioning. That might’ve worked, too, but an unexpected outcome in an unexpected election pulled the rug out from under that strategy.’

You nailed sir…...

Note:…No matter what he does….Rahm Emanuel will always be the outsider in this administration……

  2. A pat on the back will suffice especially if it pushes one out the window. Knives are so messy.

  3. It’s only a matter of time before Rahm gets the pink slip because Obama will have to clean HOUSE after the November midterms where the GOP is looking more likely to take back the House and pick-up major gains in the Senate, severely reducing the Democrats’ majority.

  4. The following is a paid announcement by Texans for Conservative Democrat:

Who is the real Daniel G.,?

First, he supported Barack Obama in the 2008 Democratic primary for President, then after New Hampshire, he flip-flopped to Hillary.

Then he flip-flopped again and has hoping up and down about Obama’s change message.

Suddenly, after Obama picked Kathleen Sebelius as HHS, he switched to the Republican Party and started being anti-affirmative action and anti-health care reform.

The real Daniel G., doesn’t want to see 47 Americans who are uninsured to received health coverage if a health care bill is passed and signed into law by the President.

Every day, you see Daniel G., rant and rant about his hatred for the Obama presidency, the other 3 years you wonder why.
