From Daniel G……Pennsylvania Governor & Senate: Corbett, Specter lead Primaries; Specter, Sestak trailing Republican Toomey by double digits

A new Franklin & Marshall Pennsylvania Poll shows Senator Arlen Specter (D-PA) and Attorney General Tom Corbett (R-PA) leading their respective Primaries for Senate & Governor. The Democratic Primary for Governor is a Toss-Up.

However Senator Arlen Specter (D-PA) as well as U. S. Rep. Joseph A. Sestak (D-PA) trailing their Republican Counterpart former U. S. Rep. Patrick J. “Pat” Toomey (R-PA) by double digits in General Election Head-to-Heads.

Specter’s showing (although he still trails) is a slight Improvement from a F & M Survey a month ago when he trailed Toomey by 14 Points.

  1. Seeing these numbers from the Democratic side is EMBARRASSING, I agree Corbett has the PA governorship almost certainly locked up.

    He’d better start writing his inaugural address coming January 18, 2011 because this race is all but over, Corbett may get to the 70 percent mark this time.

  2. I’ve been looking at the polling from that state…..the voters are pissed…..Rendell is in the low 20’s I think……

    • James B, if it hadn’t been for Lynn Swann’s BS campaign in 2006 and had the GOP picked a stronger candidate, Rendell would have lost re-election that year.

  3. James B, in 2002, what’s his face (who took over for Ridge in 2001) could have easily beaten Rendell, but he suddenly dropped out of the race.

    Note Pennsylvania has never had a 10-year governor or 12-year governor.
