From Daniel G……Delaware Senate: After announcing Coons narrows Race with Castle but still trails by 21 Points…..

Morning Dog!

A new Statewide Survey in the Vice-President’s Home State of Delaware shows Democrat Christopher A. “Chris” Coons (D-DE) has narrowed the gap with longtime Rep. Michael N. “Mike” Castle (R-DE) after announcing his bid for Senate. Coons however still trails Castle by 21 Points.

Rasmussen Survey

Delaware Senate 2010

[ Castle and Coons ]
U. S. Rep. Michael N. “Mike” Castle (R)  52 %
New Castle County Executive Christopher A. “Chris” Coons (D)  31 %
Others  8 %
Undecided  8 %

Job Approvals

President Barack Obama (D)

Approve  51 %
Disapprove  48 %

Governor Jack Markell (D)

Approve  61 %
Disapprove  37 %

I think the Race will now remain static at least until September. Castle has tremendous Crossover Appeal which helps him big time.

Daniel G.

The Dog see’s the numbers (Castle’s lead is impressive now) and because It’s eight months out….. will wait and see what happens ……fully expecting that this race will tighten……

  1. Castle has this locked up, look for Biden to run for the Senate seat in 2014 when his 2nd term as State AG ends.
