What's Next for the Health Care Bill?

From PolitcalWire…..…..

Marc Ambinder notes the White House and Democrats had one mission on this morning’s political talk shows: “Prepare the political class for the President’s announcement, probably Wednesday, that he thinks the Senate ought to proceed with reconciliation to pass or modify a comprehensive health care bill.”

What’s still not clear is whether the House or Senate votes first.

On This Week, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was quite clear she thought she had the 217 votes necessary but still sounded liked she wanted the Senate to move first.

The Dog is glad to see all the griping has finally resulted in the President and the Democrats in Congress getting over the ‘Scott Brown’ effect and moving forward on thus issue…..

  3. James B, Obama needs Health Care Reform to be passed and signed into law regardless how difficult it will be for endangered Democrats in the House who will be forced to make tough votes, half of them are out of jobs anyway in November.

Larry Sabato is predicting Republicans will gain 37 to 40 House seats and if the anti-Democratic wave is BIGGER this fall, we may very well see a solidy GOP-controlled House, with Democrats barely surviving in the Senate.
