A new Statewide Survey in the Bayou State shows Incumbent Republican Senator David Vitter (R-LA) is headed for Reelection.

Melancon was touted as top notch Recruit early in the Election Cyle. It looks like it has turned into a complete flop.

Daniel…..Vitter remains ahead…no doubt….but the Dog expects this race to close……Democrats will need to pony up more money for Melencon…and there should be some democrats coming in home towards the end of the race…..For a guy who is the first GOP senator from that state …lets see how the race goes…..
I’ll admit that thye Katrina exodus did drain hundreds of thousands of Democratic votes…and ex- Mayor Nagin was a bust……

  3. Daniel G., Melancon will regret leaving his House seat and serve a couple of terms first.

    Vitter is likely a 2 termer until 2016 max.
