Update…….

Senor won’t run

The New York Post’s Maggie Haberman tweets the scoop that Dan Senor won’t run, saying it’s the “wrong time in my life,” something the Jewish Forward was also hinting at this morning.

His candidacy would certainly have been fun: He’s combative and articulate, and could have raised some money. But he was also the face of the bad early years of the Iraq war, and went from their to a hedge fund, not an ideal resume. His candidacy would also have been a serious professional inconvenience to his wife, CNN’s Campbell Brown.

UPDATE: His statement:

Over the past few weeks, I took a very serious look at running for the Senate seat in New York.

I ultimately decided this wasn’t the right time in my family and business life for me to run.

  2. So, what does this mean now: Pataki to run?

  3. He, he…Daniel your guess is as good as mine….we have nothing from Pataki..have we?

Listen…… I know what the polls say….but how old is this guy?

We all know he would have to run on his record as the state’s governor for 12 years…and the fact he had a constant budget deficit most of those years….

    I don’t know Daniel?????

    • It doesn’t matter how old he is or how bad he was as Governor.

Unless he goes before Camera or writes an written Statement with a Quote “I’m OUT” I am still holding out hope.

BTW to stop your President’s LEFTIST Agenda we really at least one Chamber after this year.

  4. I know you want that…and it wouldn’t really hurt the dem’s that bad….but I have this funny feeling that the GOP is making a mistake by keeping healthcare alive……

If the numbers start changing to positive on the bill the GOP is assuring themselves no chance of getting either house in November….

And so far I’m batting 1,000 on this one…..

  5. George Pataki is FINISHED politically in NY State and he was lucky to get elected to 3 four-year consecutive terms as governor in 1994, 1998 and 2002.

    • He isn’t CD. In the current Climate for Dems basically EVERYONE can win EVEN Pataki in New York.

Also Democrats would have to divert a huge Amount of Resources to New York.

Republicans need to drain the Dem. Money Advantage.

I WANT THE SENATE OR THE HOUSE IN NOVEMBER to finally stop Obamas leftist bullshit Agenda.

  6. Daniel G., my money is the House going Republican in November, but the Senate stays Democratic until 2012.

    http://www.kamalaharris.org/

SF Mayor Gavin Newsome (D), who is running for Lieutenant Governor, has endorsed SF District Attorney Kamala Harris (D) in her bid for California State Attorney General to replace Jerry Brown, who chose not to seek a 2nd term and seek the governorship for a 3rd non-consecutive term (I still see Moonbeam getting his old gig back).
