Daniel….. Kentucky Senate: The KY Democratic State Party has to ask themselves some serious Questions; Mongiardo, Conway getting clobbered by Paul and Grayson ……

Hello Dog!

Another State were it’s now Crystal Clear the passed Health Care Bill has had an negative Impact on the Democratic Candidates is Kentucky.

We’re seeing Numbers much like in the Dakotas here. Mongiardo as well as Conway getting clobbered by Rand Paul & Trey Grayson.

Analysis:

I KNOW the Republican Primary has gotten VERY NASTY as of late.

I hope that whoever wins will be supported and that the LOSER may have enough Courage to run against Incumbent Governor Steve Beshear (D-KY) next year.
As for the Democrats I wonder if they might have run the wrong Candidates here.
U. S. Rep. Ben Chandler (D-KY) was seriously looking at the Race before Conway got it.
Judging these Numbers Chandler might be doing better here. After all his father, “Happy” Chandler (D-KY) was Governor of the Bluegrass State for 8 years…… I believe.

Daniel G.

Oh, Really Daniel?

  4. Daniel G., Conway is using this Senate bid as a stepping down to either going after McConnell’s Senate seat when the old man retires in 2014 (according to Michael from TN) or the Kentucky Governor’s Mansion in 2015 when Beshear is term-limited.

US Rep. Ben Chandler (D-KY) is itching for a comeback in statewide office sooner or later and may run for Governor in 2015 or the United States Senate in 2016.

  6. Daniel G., which statewide office do you see Chandler running for ?

    A. United States Senate in 2014 when McConnell retires.

    B. Kentucky Governor’s Mansion in 2015 when Beshear serves out the two full four-year terms.

    C. United States Senate in 2016 regardless which GOPer wins this year.

  7. I think Chandler will go for Senate 2014 assuming McConnell retires. AND I’m very much convinced his Opponent will be either Rep. Brett Guthrie (R-KY 2) or Rep. Geoff Davis (R-KY 4).

In the Event Chandler does not run for Senate I think Rep. John Yarmuth (D-KY 3) will run. Yarmuth is still very young.

Rep. Ed Whitfield (R-KY 1) is considering running against Beshear next year.

  8. BTW, Davis would be 56 in 2014. That’s a good time running Statewide.

AND Guthrie would be 50 in 2014. Two good Candidates with a decent time to run for Senate.

  9. Daniel G., Beshear will WIN big in his reelection campaign as KY governor because the KY GOP’s strongest candidate against him is running for the United States Senate.
