Incumbent Senator Arlen Specter (D-PA) and Republican Attorney General Tom Corbett (R-PA) hold big leads in their respective Primaries according to a new Quinnipiac University Survey released today. Meanwhile Q-Pac finds that the Democratic Governor Primary is a Toss-Up.

Democratic Primary

Allegheny County Chief Executive Dan Onorato  20 %
Former U. S. Rep. Joe Hoeffel  15 %
State Auditor General Jack Wagner  13 %
State Senator Anthony Williams  5 %
Others  1 %
Undecided  47 %

Republican Primary

State Attorney General Tom Corbett  58 %
State Representative Sam Rohrer  7 %
Others  1 %
Undecided  35 %

Pennsylvania Senate 2010

Democratic Primary

Incumbent Senator Arlen Specter  53 %
U. S. Rep. Joseph A. “Joe” Sestak  32 %
Undecided  15 %

The Primaries are being held May 18th.

Analysis:

With one month to go Specter & Corbett does seem to have this in the bag. The interesting Race besides the PA – 12 Special Election will be the Democratic Governor Primary.

  1. OUCH ! Sestak is going to regret giving up his swing House seat for an uphill campaign for statewide office.

    Gotta go to lunch now, be back later after working on a couple of homework assignments for Math Basics.
