  1. Should Corbett win Republicans LIKELY will control the State Legislature in PA and could Gerrymander the State and redraw the Congressional Lines. Then most of Dems will be out of PA for the next 10 years.

  2. Listen…the state is democratic…like New York and Mass…they may get an occasional GOPer…but it isn’t a GOP state…don’t get crazy!

    • Are your CRAZY? This State isn’t a Democratic State my friend. Gore & Kerry barely won here in 2000 & 2004. Just because Obama FOOLED you romping up a 55-45 win in 2008 it doesn’t mean PA is now a Dem. State.

How much blindsided can someone like you be because of Obama.

      PENNSLYVANIA IS A SWING STATE.

  7. I’ve stopped covering Pennsylvania LONG ago once polls show Corbett leading by double-digits, the bigger question is will he crack 70 percent in November ?

How about asking the General Assembly to change the state constitution and allow governors to serve 3rd terms ?

    • For Rendell????????

  8. He’s come back a bit…but he’s not in any shape to get a third term…..

  9. James B, I was talking about Corbett.

Pennsylvania does have a loophole to allow former statewide officeholders to run for 3rd and 4th non-consecutive terms.

2011 is going to be the year of the Ex-Guv’nah Club: been there, done that group.

    Jerry Brown (CA)
Terry Branstad (IA)-that race is OVER and has this locked up
    John Kitzhaber (OR)

Maybes if they manage to pull it off:
    Roy Barnes (GA)
Robert Ehrlich, Jr., (MD)-O’Malley better not take this rematch for granted.

    • Kitzhaber & Branstad have this in the bag – that’s my guess. Oregon is too blue and Culver is too damaged.

Brown isn’t sure of winning but if he does it’ll be close allowing Tom Campbell to SNATCH the Senate Seat away from Dems.

I doubt Barnes can beat Oxendine but we’ll see.

O’Malley versus Ehrlich will be close.

  11. I forgot about Bayh getting his Gubernatorial gig back in Indiana.

I noticed that Daniels doesn’t have any security detail around him.

  12. The pictures in the link are campaign pictures which you make sure troopers are NOT in…..

Security Details for Governors range in size from small states which might have one trooper as a driver/bodyguard to big states like New York, California, Texas and such that have actual details with drivers, a lead bodyguard, a detail leader, support troopers and full advance people and several suburban’s for movement around the state AND any where on the planet they go…….

  13. James B, in Texas, they took security measures after Connally was injured during JFK’s assassination in Dallas.

Louisiana probably has some state troopers to protect Governor Jindal and his family.
