McCain breaks right on Immigration for the up coming election…..

Sen. John McCain endorsed a tough Arizona anti-immigration bill Monday, despite his history of support for comprehensive immigration reform.

Yep…..

That ‘s the same Senator John McCain who has steadfastly called for reform on the nation’s Immigration policies…..

Damn..that’s a shame……

Wanting police officers to be able to arrest people of brown color ‘on sight’ as a presumption they are illegal immigrants

is a massive move backwards in this country …..

The term racial profiling comes to mind…….

And this guy wanted to be President?

Under current law, illegal immigration is a federal crime, and state law enforcement officials can only ask about it if a person is suspected of another crime.

Backers say the package of tough new rules will give police and other law enforcement the tools they need to combat increasingly violent immigration violations.

Opponents say the law essentially legalizes racial profiling. “If you look brown, you’re going to get asked for papers,” Sherry said. If Brewer signs the bill, he said, “she’ll go down George Wallace of our generation.”

The bill passed the state’s House on a largely party-line vote last week, and is set for a vote in the Arizona Senate Monday.

Rahm Emanuel WOULD like to become the Mayor of Chicago…..

The Dog posted this revelation way back when…..

Emanuel has finally come out and acknowledged it……

From PoliticalWire……

Confirming rumors, White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel said that he wants to be the mayor of Chicago, the Chicago Tribune reports.

Said Emanuel: “I hope Mayor Daley seeks reelection. I will work and support him if he seeks reelection. But if Mayor Daley doesn’t, one day I would like to run for mayor of the city of Chicago. That’s always been an aspiration of mine even when I was in the House of Representatives.”

Emanuel has long been rumored to want the job of Speaker of the House, but he said in the interview that hope was “over.”

Twitter to tweet ads………

Here’s their idea on how to make more money from advertising…….

They are going just tweet the ad……

That’s all……

I don’t know if it’s gonna work….

But then no one knew their system was gonna be as successful as it is either….

In September 2008, Twitter co-founder Biz Stone told me the company never met to hammer out a business model. No brainstorming sessions. No scribblings on a white board. No staff retreats to encourage blue-sky thinking. Those were the days when service could barely stay up for a week at a time. It was plagued by seizures; the entire site would go down for hours at a time, leaving only a cartoon whale in its wake. Stone and his team were far too busy combating the site’s recurring problems to worry about how it would eventually support itself.

It appears that over the past year and a half, Twitter has managed to schedule a few meetings. On Tuesday, it announced and outlined its strategy to make money. It’s brilliant.

That’s not to say it’s going to work. Just that it’s innovative and integrated: Exactly what’s needed to make an ad network logical. But that doesn’t guarantee it will be profitable.

The centerpiece is Twitter’s decision to mask its ads as actual tweets.

Two days to a X-37B launch……Update….The launch will be delayed till Thursday….

The US Air Force is getting ready to launch it’s own unmanned mini shuttle in a few days….

BDog has been kind enough to send us a couple of links……..

An Atlas booster is poised to hurl from Florida the reusable X-37B Orbital Test Vehicle into space — now projected to be an April 21 launch.

The X-37B orbital space plane, essentially a mini-shuttle, will be placed into Earth orbit and loiter in space for an unspecified period of time. It will then reenter for an auto-pilot landing at Vandenberg Air Force Base in California, or at neighboring Edwards Air Force Base as back-up.

Not much else is known.

It’s a tight-lipped affair, with its builder — Boeing Phantom Works — pledged to retain vocal silence on the flight — advising this reporter here that they “defer to the customer” — the Air Force Rapid Capabilities Office.

Some new details about the X-37B space plane have been made available, provided by Angie Blair, an Air Force spokeswoman for the project during this week’s 26th National Space Symposium held here. [Graphic: How the X-37B Spacecraft Works.]

Control center

The X-37B Orbital Test Vehicle (OTV) is capable of supporting a flexible range of experiments, Blair said. “The first mission will emphasize proving technologies necessary for long duration reusable space vehicles with autonomous reentry and landing capabilities.”

“It’s a developmental effort,” Blair said, and it’s standard practice with many Department of Defense development efforts, “specific details of the OTV capabilities, limitations and vulnerabilities” are classified.

Once launched, the X-37B is designed for space missions of up to 270 days, Blair advised, if everything goes as planned. The space plane was designed for low earth orbits, ranging from 110 to 500 nautical miles, she told SPACE.com.

All that being said, exactly where the vehicle’s mission control center is located remains classified.

Bullshit…..Here’s the control unit and their location…..

The United States Air Force‘s 3d Space Experimentation Squadron (3 SES) is a space control unit located at Schriever AFB, Colorado.

Update.….The Launch will be delayed till Thursday to not interfear with the Space Shuttle  Discovery’s return to earth…..

The shuttle Discovery and a crew of seven astronauts were scheduled to land Monday morning at the Kennedy Space Center, but were thwarted by low clouds and rain at the NASA spaceport. The space agency will try again early Tuesday.

It’s not the first delay this month for the X-37B spacecraft.

Air Force officials originally planned to launch the space plane Monday evening. They delayed the mission last week when NASA extended Discovery’s current spaceflight by one day, making the shuttle’s planned landing the same day.

Typically, two days between shuttle landings and rocket launches are required in order to reset the Eastern Range, which NASA shares with the nearby Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, for new space missions.

You're in the big time now…watch what you say……

SE sent me this  example of a low-level politician learning that moving to ‘big time’ means you can’t say certain things and not have it be noticed anymore…..

Michael Thurmond will be the Democratic candidate for the Georgia Senate…..

Thurmond.jpg

He made a comment at the Young Democrats of Georgia Convention that he won’t make again……

Speaking at the Young Democrats of Georgia Convention in Athens on Saturday, Labor Commissioner (and soon-to-be Senate candidate) Michael Thurmond said:

Sometimes I want us to take a step back and look at us the same way our enemies see us…I want us to look at each other “the same way al Qaeda sees us”.

Now I don’t remember the exact wording of the first sentence but the al Qaeda line is correct.

Thurmond of course wasn’t saying he wants us to walk down the street and see potential pawns to murder for political ends. He was saying he wants us to see each other as Americans and Georgians, not black or white, rich or poor, Southerners or traitorous carpetbaggers.

Paladino’s Entrance into the Republican Primary has really helped Levy BIG Time. Which was once a nearly 30-Point has now been cut to 14 Points. As I expected Levy is the stronger General Election Candidate than Lazio in the long run.

Daniel…I will be very surprised if Levy survives the primary……I really don’t know why he did the move…..

His ego must be huge……..

Analysis 2:

So, despite Pataki been out of the Race Gillibrand’s Reelect Numbers are only at a dismal 27 %. That tells you everything. She isn’t really liked in the State.

Daniel G.

Daniel…..I told you so!
I really don’t care for her…but she’s a democrat….but she is NOT LIKED by a lot of people in New York…
This is the worst of all worlds…..an sudo-democrat…..weak in the polls ..proped up by the powers to be…..
