Daniel……Arizona Senate: McCain leads Glassman, Hayworth trails him according to a new Survey from Public Policy Polling

Hello Folks!

2008 Presidential Candidate John McCain (R-AZ) has taken a BIG hit in his Approvals according to a new Survey from Public Policy Polling.

He still though leads Democrat Rodney Britz Glassman (D-AZ) by 13 Points in a General Election Match-Up.

What will certainly create more buzz around Democratic Circles is that Glassman leads McCain’s Chief Republican Rival J. D. Hayworth (R-AZ) by 3 Points.

Note to Readers: PPP is set to release Numbers for the Republican Primary in the Senate Race tomorrow.

Okay, we know McCain wouldn’t be in trouble against a Democrat.

Crunching out these Numbers I REALLY REALLY wonder how close Hayworth is in the GOP Primary.
McCain MUST be in BIG TROUBLE there. See, McCain could be facing the same fate as Utah Senator Robert “Bob” Bennett (R-UT). That would be CURIOUS if McCain would lose giving Democrats a shot at his Senate Seats.

More: HAD Obama not chosen former Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano (D-AZ) as his Homeland Sec. McCain could be heading into a very competitive TOSS-UP Race or EVEN DEFEAT. I’m anxiously waiting on these Primary Numbers.

Bottom Line:

With McCain Dems have ZERO Chance, without him it’s a TOSS-UP.

  1. Update:

A Rasmussen Survey of the Republican Primary two weeks ago found McCain leading Hayworth only by 5 Points, 47-42. With these kind of Approvals it might be entirely possible that McCain is barely ahead, tied or even barely trailing.

  2. I wonder how the Law thing plays for him?

  3. James B and Daniel G., McCain is in big crap because of the Arizona Republican Party voting to have a CLOSED GOP primary in their statewide elections instead of the usual open primaries where Democrats, Independents are welcome to vote in either primary from either political party.

  4. McCain will be re-elected. He is our best candidate. Glassman is simply not qualified. JD is so many things and none of them are good! JD had his shot, JD lost his seat to Mitchell. I will be nice and say that JD is a big spender/earmarker, JD is immoral, unethical, blowhard who won an award for being the dumbest member of Congress. He is not good enough for us.

  5. Glad the polls agree with the people. Though these newfangled numbers are probably going to be something Hayworth will have a hard time interpreting, and I’m sure he’ll find a way to make them seem like they’re in his favor (which very little is across the board). It’s too bad there hasn’t been any recent tragedies for Hayworth to exploit lately. Poor Hayworth.
