Hot Damn!…The Mets win 6-4 against Frisco the with two Home Runs from Davis and Barajas!…..

WHAT a game!!!!!

Barajas also made a great defensive catch!

More to come shortly…..

Here’s the Blog Play by Play of the game from Andy Marino over at the New York Daily News…..

10:01: Oh, my. Barajas just hit homer No. 101, a walk-off two-run shot to lift the Mets to a 6-4 victory.

9:56: They are keeping away from the Mighty Ike — he was just walked on a 3-1 pitch by Sergio Roma.

9:50: Ike is starting to scare me. He just tumbled over the rail to snare a foul by Sandoval to end that inning. Great catch, the second time he’s done a rail flip for an out since he was called up. Remarkable.

9:48: K-Rod balked a runner to second and then DeRosa hit a single that Castillo dove for to keep in the infield and keep a run from scoring. Excellent play. Now it’s first and third with, gulp, Sandoval up. K-Rod lost a streak of 7.2 scoreless innings, by the by.

9:42: Thank goodness Ike is due up in the ninth. Imagine…….

9:39: Writer’s nightmare — John Bowker just smashed a game-tying pinch homer off Frankie Rodriguez. It’s 4-4.

9:34: Blogging break, as I composed my running story, which will appear on the Daily News website moments after the final out. K-Rod is in the game now, looking for Save No. 5. As they said in “Wedding Crashers” — Lock it down. No, you lock it down.

9:20: Nieve with a tidy little two-thirds there, getting Uribe on an almost-double play and then retiring Schierholtz on a fly to left, preserving 4-3 Met lead.

9:14: Here’s the Situation (this one’s for you, Situation, if you’re reading this): Castillo could not handle a hot grounder by DeRosa leading off the eighth, but Pelfrey rallied to get Sandoval to foul out. But Aubrey Huff singled, putting runners on first and second and knocking out Pelfrey. Fernando Nieve just trotted in from the bullpen to pitch to Juan Uribe and Pelfrey left to a nice hand from fans after a gritty performance.

9:10: Pelf has only thrown 79 pitches (56 strikes). He has not walked anyone, by the way.

9:01: Big Pelf hitting for himself here in the 7th inning. Sanchez batted for himself in the 7th inning, too. Clearly, we’ve all been in a time machine that landed in 1968.
