Will Israel react the same…

Or will they Blink?

The Pro-Palestinian activist group behind the flotilla told the Associated Press Tuesday that another cargo ship was being sent to challenge Israel’s blockade. The boat was expected to arrive early next week.

“This initiative is not going to stop,” Greta Berlin of the Free Gaza Movement told the AP. “We think eventually Israel will get some kind of common sense. They’re going to have to stop the blockade of Gaza, and one of the ways to do this is for us to continue to send the boats.”

The U.N. Security Council called for a “prompt, impartial, credible and transparent” probe of the raid after an emergency meeting that lasted into the early morning hours Tuesday.

After 12 hours of deliberations, the Security Council members agreed on a compromise presidential statement that condemned the attacks that resulted in deaths without naming Israel.

The strongest language, however, came out of Turkey, Israel’s closest Muslim ally. “This bloody massacre by Israel on ships that were taking humanitarian aid to Gaza deserves every kind of curse,” the country’s Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan told Parliament Tuesday.

  1. Um… I thought the whole point of Atta Turk and the revolution was that Turkey was to be a Secular state in which the majority of people are muslims. Like America is a secular state where the majority of people are Christians. So how come Turkey all of a sudden became a “Muslim” state?
