11 States are holding Primaries and Run-Off Elections !.
A Special Election will also being held in Georgia to determine the Replacement for U. S. Rep. Nathan Deal (R-GA) who resigned in March.
Our “Special Primary Night Coverage” is starting at 6pm ET One Hour before the first Polls are closing.
Here is an Election Guide for the competitive Races we’re following throughout the Night:
7pm ET Poll Closing (Virginia, South Carolina & Georgia 9th Congressional District Special Election)
In South Carolina we’re looking at both Governor Races as well as Republican House Primaries in SC-1, SC-2 & SC-4
ln Virginia we’re looking at the competitive Republican Primaries in VA-2, VA-5 & VA-11 to determine the GOP Challengers for U. S. Representatives Glenn Nye (D-VA 2), Tom Perriello (D-VA-5) and Gary Connolly (D-VA-11)
Georgia 9th Congressional District Special Election
John Thomas “Tom” Graves Jr. (R)
B. Lee Hawkins (R)
8pm ET Poll Closing (Maine & New Jersey Primaries)
In Maine we’re looking at both Governor Primaries. Governor John Baldacci (D-ME) is term-limited and can’t run for Re-Election.
In New Jersey we’re looking at the Republican Primaries for Congressional Districts NJ-3 and NJ-7
8.30pm ET Poll Closing (Arkansas Run-Off Elections)
We’re looking at the Arkansas Democratic Senate Run-Off between Lincoln and Halter. We’re also looking at the Democratic Run-Offs in AR-1 & AR-2 as well as the Republican Run-Off in AR-3.
9pm ET Poll Closing (South Dakota & North Dakota Primaries)
In South Dakota we’re looking at the Republican Governor Primary as well as the Republican At-Large House Primary to determine which Republican Candidate will face U. S. Rep. Stephanie Herseth-Sandlin (D-SD) in November.
In North Dakota we’re looking at the House At-Large Republican Primary between State Representative Richard A. Berg (R-ND) and J. D. Donaghe (R-ND). The Winner will face U. S. Rep. Earl Pomeroy (D-ND) in November.
10pm ET Poll Closing (Iowa, Montana & Nevada Primaries)
In Iowa we’re looking at the Republican Governor Primary, the Democratic Senate Primary as well as Republican House Primaries in IA-2 and IA-3
In Montana we’re looking at the Democratic House At-Large Primary who will face U. S. Rep. Denny Rehberg (R-MT) in November.
And in Nevada we’re looking at the Republican Primaries for Governor & Senate as well as Republican House Primary in NV-3
11pm ET Poll Closing (California Primary)
We’re looking at CA-SEN (R), CA-GOV (R) and the House Primaries CA-11 (R), CA-36 (D) and CA-42 (R)

Veteran White House reporter Helen Thomas announced Monday that she is retiring, effective immediately, in the wake of a controversy over her comments on Israel, according to a report from her employer, Hearst News Service.
Thomas told a rabbi at a White House event last week that Jews should “get the hell out of Palestine” and go back to Germany and Poland.
“I deeply regret my comments I made last week regarding the Israelis and the Palestinians,” Thomas said in a statement on her Web site. “They do not reflect my heart-felt belief that peace will come to the Middle East only when all parties recognize the need for mutual respect and tolerance. May that day come soon.”
Thomas’s comments provoked sharp criticism within the close-knit world of White House reporters, and drew a rebuke from the White House podium Monday. With her seat conspicuously empty at the daily briefing, White House press secretary Robert Gibbs assailed Thomas for her words.
I thought she was Jewish.
You guys are forgetting about the NASTY GOP primary for South Carolina Governor to see who will be moving into the governor’s mansion on January 12, 2011 when Mark Sanford leaves in disgrace.

Actually the most significant race in SC is not even mentioned here
It is the Republican Congressional primary in the First District(the SC coast i e Charleston,Myrtle Beach Hilton Head)
Cong Henry Brown is retiring
And there are ten candidates seeking the nomination
Since the GOP nomination is tantamount to election(the Disrict hasnt elected a Democrat in 32 years)
The leading candidates are
Tim Scott-A Black state legislator
Paul Thurmond-Son of the late Sen Strom Thurmond
Carroll campbell-Son of the late former Governor
Larry Kobrovsky-A school choice lawyer
I believe that Scott and Thurmond will finish one two setting up a runoff in two weeks
Although Kobrovsky has an outside chance of replacing Thurmond in the number two spot
Scott a well known conservative has a real chance of winning
The symbolism here is enormous
A Scott victory will mean that a descendant of slaves defeated the son of the leading voice of segregation in the south back in the fifties and sixties
And will be representing(literally) Fort Sumter
Watch that one tomorrow night!

I started to watch the Red Sox @ Indians game tonight. Man, the stands are empty at Jacobs Field. I understand they are only drawing about 20,000 per game. Poor Chief Wahoo!
Still, air fare, hotel for a night, and tickets to see a game at Baltimore’s Camden Yards cost less than parking and a ticket to see the Sox at Fenway. I wonder if the same can be said for Jacobs Field?
