Ok…things are really interesting  that Playboy

The icon that is actually establishment …is going to 3-D….

The net’ is just doing them in’

Struggling Playboy magazine has an eye-popping new trick to attract readers – put its centerfold in 3-D.

The magazine’s June edition, which hits newsstands on Friday, features centerfold Hope Dworaczyk in a 3-D pictorial. It will include a pair of classic blue-and-red glasses so you can an eyeful of Dworaczyk’s… uh, extra dimensions.

“What would people most like to see in 3-D?” asked Playboy founder Hugh Hefner. “Probably a naked lady.”

This is the latest attempt by Playboy to attract new readers, as the magazine has seen circulation drop from 3.5 million in 2006 to 1.5 million today.

“In today’s print environment you have to create newsstand events,” said editorial director Jimmy Jellinek.

And as Playboy competes not only with other men’s magazines, but also with the proliferation of racy images of women on the Internet, Jellinek is right on.

Hold on a second while I put on my sunglasses. [Pause] Okay, here we go. Now, I’m just going to hold this little device up to your eyes, and you’re going to see a tiny flash. And then you know what’s going to happen? You’re going to forget thatMen In Black II ever happened.

And if that doesn’t wash your memory of MIB2, hopefully this will: Columbia Pictures announced today thatMen In Black III will be released in 3-D on May 25, 2012. The whole crew is set to return as well — according to Columbia’s press release, deals have been made with Will Smith and director Barry Sonnenfeld, and advanced negotiations are in place with Tommy Lee Jones. (Also close to being on board: Josh Brolin, who is in talks to star as the young version of Jones’ Agent Kay.)

So now that we know they’re all back together, the question is…….

‘Harry Potter’ will be coming to you in 3-D in the future…..

'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows' will be in 3D. Harry, Ron and Hermione (from l., Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson) may be more life-like than ever.

Warner Bros. will release the next two “Harry Potter” films in 3D, a move underscoring the post-“Avatar” rush for extra-dimensional box office returns.

Studio executives around town have been scrutinizing film slates for opportunities to expand forays into 3D releasing. Warners has been testing footage from its upcoming “Clash of the Titans” — converted into 3D by an outside vendor — and the tests have gone so well that the studio has decided to release not only “Titans” but also the two-part “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” in 3D.

Warners refused to confirm the decisions Tuesday, but an announcement on “Titans” — a co-production with studio-based producer Legendary Pictures — is expected by week’s end. Official word on the “Potter” pics also is awaited.

Conversion expenses have been coming down, so each film will cost just $5 million to change into 3D. Warners also will absorb an additional $5 million expense per picture to pay for 3D glasses for exhibitors handling the movies.

In a related move, Warners will push back the release of “Titans” one week to April 2. “Deathly Hallows: Part I” is set to unspool November 19, and “Part II” is slotted for July 15, 2011.

The only previous “Potter” pic to dabble in 3D was last year’s “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince,” which included brief footage viewable in 3D in Imax venues. It was unclear whether “Potter” author J.K. Rowling had to OK the move into the third dimension.

The Kids are gonna love this!……..

And a lot of adults too!
