Duke Wins the A.C.C. Tournament……

Duke gets another one!

While my favorite College Basketball Team has done it again…I would like to see them win the National Tittle…

Hear that coach K?

Here’s the piece……

Kyle Singler scored 20 points and Jon Scheyer hit a critical 3-pointer with 18 seconds left to help No. 4 Duke beat Georgia Tech 65-61 in Sunday’s Atlantic Coast Conference tournament championship game.

Scheyer finished with 16 points for the top-seeded Blue Devils (29-5), who let an 11-point lead with 6 minutes left slip all the way to one before Scheyer’s big shot. Nolan Smith also had 16 points to help Duke earn a league-record 18th tournament title, breaking a tie with rival North Carolina.

In a tournament filled with upsets, it took a gritty effort from Duke’s high-scoring ”Big Three” to hold off a determined comeback from the seventh-seeded Yellow Jackets (22-12), who were trying to become the first team in tournament history to win four games in four days.

Duke has won nine of the past 12 ACC tournaments and was in prime position to grab a No. 1 seed in the NCAA tournament.

The L.A. Lakers meet the President….at the White house….and celebrate The Chicago Bulls….

Now this is the real reason you want to be president. Hang around with pro jocks and get your own big league jersey from all the championship teams that visit the White House’s East Room for an a-political photo op.

Unemployment is for saps. And healthcare can wait a while after Celtics fans voted their verdict in Massachusetts last week. Although Republican Sen.-elect Scott Brown and his athletic daughters do play hoops and challenged No. 44 to some two-on-two. But the Obama White House doesn’t allow girls in its games (presidential daughters excluded).

Anyway, now that it’s 2010, President Obama had a celebration today for the 2009 NBA champs and posed for a smiling team photo. But the Illinois president couldn’t help reminiscing about some real champs from Chicago back in the 1990’s who won six — not four — league titles with the amazing Phil Jackson as coach.

Oh, wait, is that the same Phil Jackson in this photo?

So, six championships for Chicago. Let’s see. That’s two more more than L.A. with Jackson. Fifty percent more trophies in the Windy City.

Before hailing the Lakers, Obama hailed “some wonderful members of Congress,” an oxymoron to many Americans these days when those bodies have Cheney-like poll numbers.

Without his teleprompter Obama slipped up slightly and started talking about the only thing that’s better than playing basketball. But he caught himself. So the world is left to guess what the one thing better than basketball is.

Ten of Most Craziest NBA Dunks!……….

Anyone can enjoy a tantalizing slam dunk. Not everyone can dole them out. Leave it to NBA ballers to demonstrate aerial tricks so sublime that they had to be ranked for your pleasure.

Compiled here are 12 of the biggest and baddest posterizations in NBA history. There was at least one essential to every dunk on this list: 1) The announcers had to make a big commotion after the dunk. If they didn’t, it probably wasn’t any more exciting than Gilbert Arenas taunting a teammate with an unloaded weapon. 2) The guy who got dunked on had to fall backward, cover his head or get ridden like a horse (you’ll see).

Keeping up with the Kardashians….

I just spend the last hour watching the Kardashian family go through the paces of  Khloe’s engagement, and wedding…Watching Bruce Jenner (with his numerous face enchainments) navigate thru the lives of all those women in the house…And watching a 6’8″ black basketball star inducted into the family’s three ring circus….…I hope Lamar Odom can stay on the treadmill with these people because…with his family gone, and having a son, and now a wife…. Maybe things can be good and full in his life…..

Kim seems a bit flustered…no Reggie Bush at the wedding…but a whole lot of questions why she wasn’t the first to the altar…and I really don’t like Kourtney’s baby’s daddy, who seems to think he’s all that….
