Kyra Phillips and John Roberts welcome twins

Double the congratulations for CNN’s Kyra Phillips and fiancé John Roberts – the couple welcomed both a boy and a girl into their family right aftermidnight on Tuesday, March 15

The little ones are named Sage Ann and Kellan Clay, with Sage arriving at 12:03 a.m. and Kellan making a debut two minutes after.

“Sage came out with her arms open wide ready for a hug,” Phillips said in a statement. “Kellan came out feisty – ready to conquer the world!”

Phillips continued, “It doesn’t get much better than that. For John and me, we now have everything we could ask for…..

ABC and Fox ban a Lane Bryant ‘Big girl’ underwear commercial……

Wait…..do they ban size ‘0’ Victoria Secret underwear commercials?

And since we know that all those American mothers out there who have kids are size zero……

I guess they just gotta watch all these starved model’s dance around, right?

I still don’t get why this country won’t admit that most of it’s beautiful and sexy females aren’t walking sticks??????

Lane

The Big Girls aren’t welcome on The Alphabet: Plus-size label Lane Bryant says that a commercial advertising their new line of lingerie has been rejected by ABC and FOX.

Lane Bryant’s controversial new lingerie ad, featuring busty, plus-sized models, will finally air on Fox next Wednesday, during the closing minutes of the 9 p.m. edition of “American Idol.”

The women’s clothing manufacturer had claimed both Fox and ABC objected to the commercial’s content.

Though the commercial will now air on “Idol,” both client and media still seem peeved. Lane Bryant has accused the networks of bias against large-size women and their cleavages — and the networks have denied such claims, accusing Lane Bryant of trying to milk a non-story for publicity purposes.

Lane Bryant took its battle to the blogosphere Tuesday with a rather testy entry on its Inside Curve venue, lambasting Fox and ABC for resisting efforts to place the ad in shows including “Dancing With the Stars” and “Idol.”

It complained that it was being treated differently from Victoria’s Secret, which has aired spots on both networks. The company said it was “disappointed” that Fox rejected the ad three times.

Jon Stewart curse’s out FOX…….

Sometimes the guy just loses it…….

Perhaps what frustrated him the most last night was that, as displayed in the beginning of the segment, Stewart actually agreed with Fox’s pundits, who noted the dangers of generalizing groups of people based on the actions of a few (specifically the more extreme members of the Tea Party). Totally legit argument. But of course, this was followed by a compilation of examples in which Fox News pundits and personalities blatantly DID THE EXACT SAME THING.

(The “go f–k yourselves” segment of the clip below begins at 5:10, following a very funny Wyatt Cenac bit.)

AVATAR will probably be the highest grossing movie……EVER……..

“Avatar,” James Cameron’s sci-fi blockbuster, finished on top of the weekend box office and is now poised to pass “Titanic” in the ticket sales record books, domestically and globally.

According to early box office figures from Hollywood.com, “Avatar” (Fox) took in $36 million over the weekend to push its domestic gross to $552,797,418. It is currently in second place on the all-time domestic gross list, behind “Titanic,” which has taken in $600.8 million domestically.

“Avatar” is even closer to passing “Titanic” in world-wide box office grosses. As of this weekend, it has earned $1.841 billion world-wide, just behind “Titanic’s” $1.843 billion world-wide total. That means “Avatar” will almost certainly pass “Titanic” this week.

Fox is owned by News Corp. which publishes the Wall Street Journal.

FOX and MSNBC take their hits…and add viewers and ad revenue……

Like it or not Americans like their news slanted towards their views.….While the impartial media outlets go on…the partisan ones increase their viewership at the others expense…hype and rhetoric rule the day, in the end, eh?
