Daily Manila…..Singing about Alvin Greene……

Richard Greene?Richard Greene?

I had not thought of him for years!

What a great TV Show opening!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q_MDQRlfzac&feature=related

And what a great theme song!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0vFL-lcxkYk

Maybe Al could adapt it.

Sing with me!

“Alvin Greene, Alvin Greene

He’s a site to see!

Alvin Greene, Alvin Greene

The next Senator from SC

He’ll give to the poor

and to himself even more!

Alvin Greene!

Alvin Greene!

Daily Manila……..Louisiana……Oil spills…..CD?

I suggest this is much, much worse than Katrina.

I have stocked up on frozen shrimp for the summer too.

God, I hope horseradish production isn’t harmed or else I will have to stock up on sauce.

Note: That opened, half finished jar of shrimp cocktail sauce lost in the back of your refrigerator for years does not count! (Just don’t use the skin part!)

In China the BP executives would be shot.

Twice!

And is this Bush’s fault?

I guess you can not shoot the mentally retarded.

And do all Texans suck?

Tell us CD!

These Republicans who use Ronald Reagan and these Democrats who use JFK, RFK, Teddy, or even MLK as a shield for their selfish behavior are the snake oil salesman of the last 50 years.

False Prophets! (See Mitt in your frickin’ Waggles!)

We MUST drill but I would never vote for off shore drilling off the New England coast unless the current were favorable to sending a spill into the middle of the sea under the current enforcement system.

Checks and balances should rule!

It’s the American way!

Daily Manila……Don't Ask…Don't Tell……

So “Don’t ask, don’t tell!” is turning into “Old soldiers never die, they just fade away?”

It is the privy privilege of the Commander-in-Chief to set this policy. Obama wants to point to someone else when the heat gets turned on. Also please note post-election December follows election November so this goes no where if the Congress changes (and it will.)

Daily Manila…..The Border…….

So First Alert can’t do everything.

Big surprise.

I say go with land mines and especially machine guns in guard towers!

So I can get a job.

That gives a 80% pension after 20 years.

And the Indians (Asian immigrants) had no permission to be here either.

And they used to rob and kill each other.

Over roots and berries.

And an occasional slave or squaw.

Who knew how to cook the roots and berries.

But not horses or firearms.

Creating the Indian way of life.

Like in the old western movies.

The European’s introduced those dog soldiers.

So be warned!

North America was once part of Ireland before the Continental shift took place.

A woolly Mammoth told me so!

So if your not Irish

You have to leave!

(Right after the next beer.)

Manila….ShoreBank will be bailed out…….

Some of the nation’s largest banks have agreed to contribute enough money to save Chicago-based ShoreBank, the community lender with strong ties to the Obama administration, FOX Business has learned.

The banks have agreed to contribute $140 million to bail out the bank, while the federal government will donate tens of millions more, according to people close to the talks. In addition to major Wall Street firms like Goldman Sachs (GS: 139.13, 1.72, 1.25%), which agreed to contribute $20 million to the bailout effort, as well as Citigroup (C: 3.81, 0.09, 2.42%) and JPMorgan (JPM: 39.462, 0.442, 1.13%), General Electric’s (GE: 17.31, 0.08, 0.46%) GE Capital will also contribute $20 million to the rescue effort. All the firms have either received massive government assistance during the financial crisis or, in the case of Goldman Sachs, are facing multiple regulatory investigations into their business practices.

The bailout has been controversial. Senior Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett served on a Chicago civic organization with a director of the bank, and President Obama himself has singled out the bank for praise in lending to low-income communities.

But the bank has made its share of bad bets, and some of the Wall Street firms that have given money have said they’ve received political pressure to contribute to the bailout of a business that under normal circumstances would have been left to fail.

It’s still unclear how much the federal government will contribute to save the bank because it’s unclear exactly how much is needed to save the institution, which without the bailout would have been taken over by the FDIC.

An announcement on the bailout is expected Tuesday morning.

MANILA

Why am I NOT surprised Manila?

Note…The Dog Messed up on the orignal post headlines and wishes to thank CW99 for pointing this out…..We messed up we apolizge….and have made it right…..

Daily Manila…….The Kagan pick…..

Pardon my Judge Judy.

Did someone unknown just win the Peace Prize again?

Without doing anything except being them self?

Pardon my Robert Bork, but suffer-in succotash!

Looks like some more Hasty Pudding to me.

And do not be fooled by that crafty Obama.

Kagan is not a replacement for Stevens.

She is a replacement for Ginsberg.

Nov 2010 could leave Obama without a majority in the Senate.

So Kagan will sit there like a vulture in a old western movie.

Smell the coffee yet Ruth?

Caw, Caw!

And Larry Summers,

who once said that innate differences between men and women might be one reason fewer women succeed in science and math careers,

is the one who made her the Dean of Harvard Law.

Where she tried to keep military recruiters off campus.

Even though she now guilty of soliciting Generals.

Don’t ask, don’t tell!

I predict Kagan will end up being to the Supreme Court what the Banking Modernization Act was to the economy.

Just ask the homeless man living in a box who is suing Wal Mart so he does not have to move from their parking lot.

The endowment will come first.

And the truth will be the first casualty.

Would I ever lie to you?

PS: Shhhh!

Daily Manila on Bennet's lost……

Throw the bums out?

Bennett got the boot in Utah. It will be interesting to see if Keith my old nemesis at P 1 will be right about the Tea Baggers kicking out establishment Republicans only to be foiled in the final. A form of this did happen here in MA in the early 1990′s but the GOP here was so weak that a duck could have taken it over.

Utah is a state where the Dem’s are weak enough so that a Tea Bagger could go to the Senate. Their Congressman Matheson (D) was forced into a primary yesterday. He got 55% to bis opponent Claudia Wright’s 45% and now says that he “Gets it!”

http://www.standard.net/topics/politics/2010/05/08/utahs-matheson-forced-his-first-ever-democratic-primary

Ah, Manila…… I’m with Keith……

Go Tea Baggers!
