Nevada GOP Senate nominee Sharron Angle’s campaign attorney wrote a fundraising letter to supporters on Tuesday, charging that Democrat Harry Reid “intends to steal this election.”

In a fundraising plea to supporters, Cleta Mitchell wrote, “As Sharron Angle’s campaign attorney, I am sorry to report that the Democrats and their cronies are up to their same old tricks of trying to manipulate the election in hopes of skewing the results in their favor.”

Daniel…..Nevada Senate: Mason-Dixon gives Angle 8-Point lead over Tarkanian and 9-Point lead over Lowden in the Republican Senate Primary; Danny Tarkanian performs best against Reid in the General Election

Hello Folks and GoodAfternoo!

We finally get that much anticipated second half of the Las Vegas Review Journal / Mason-Dixon Survey in the Silver State and it shows that former Nevada Assemblywoman Sharron Angle (R-NV) is leading the Republican Senate Primary 8 Points over Businessman Danny Tarkanian (R-NV) and 9 Points over former Nevada Republican Party Chair Sue Lowden (R-NV).

Tarkanian however performs best in a General Election Match-Up with Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV). Tarkanian leads Reid by 7 Points while Angle leads him by only 3 and Lowden EVEN trails him by a Point.

Las Vegas Review Journal / Mason-Dixon Survey

Nevada Senate

Republican Primary

Former State Assemblywoman Sharron Angle  32 %
Businessman Danny Tarkanian  24 %
Former Nevada Republican Party Chair Sue Lowden  23 %
Chad Christensen  3 %
John Chachas  2 %
Others  1 %
Undecided  15 %

General Election

Former State Assemblywoman Sharron Angle (R)  44 %
Senate Majority Leader Harry Mason Reid (D)  41 %
Others  3 %
Undecided  12 %

Senate Majority Leader Harry Mason Reid (D)  42 %
Former Nevada Republican Party Chair Sue Lowden (R)  41 %
Others  2 %
Undecided  15 %

Businessman Danny Tarkanian (R)  46 %
Senate Majority Leader Harry Mason Reid (D)  39 %
Others  2 %
Undecided  13 %

Analysis:

It’s pretty much clear as I suggested a couple of Days ago that Tarkanian is the best Candidate Republicans can put up against Reid. Angle & Lowden seem too damaged for me. Tarkanian has also run the cleanest Campaign of the Republican Candidates and didn’t make mistake after mistake.

Republican Voters in Nevada have a clear Choice now:

1. Nominate Lowden or Angle and we’ve Reid for another 6 years.

2. Nominate Tarkanian and we may have a chance taking Reid down this year.

Daniel…..California Senate, Nevada Senate, Colorado Senate AND why I’m not happy about it

Hello my fellow Republicans!

Things have really gone wrong quite a bit in some KEY SENATE RACES over the last two weeks.

In California former Hewlett-Packard MORON screw Candidate Carly Fiorina (R-CA) appears set to win the Republican Primary over former U. S. Rep. Tom Campbell (R-CA) and State Representative Chuck DeVore (R-CA) presenting Incumbent Senator Barbara Boxer (D-CA) her Re-Election on a SILVER PLATE.

Once again I’m saying that Fiorina is:

1. Too Conservative for the State

2. Has no Crossover Appeal

and 3. Has too much baggage with her tenure as HP Chief Executive during the Financial Crisis.

In Nevada the GOP is about to nominate the weakest Candidate in decades to take on Majority Leader Harry Reid: Sharron Angle.

If she wins this we’re screwed here too. I’m all for Businessman Danny Tarkanian now. The NRSC has to be blamed for this Race by not getting popular Congressman Dean Heller to run here.

In Colorado the Republican Establishment is still backing fmr. Lt. Governor Jane Norton (R-CO). She has already said some contoversial Comments and will do so time and time again. I’ve endorsed Weld County District Attorney Kenneth R. Buck a couple of months back and I hope he can win this come August 10th.

Daniel G.

Ah, Daniel…..I can’t help but notice that you have separated yourself from every GOP woman candidate….Including South Carolina’s Haley…..

Is this a coincidence?

Daniel……Nevada Senate: New Las Vegas Review Journal / Mason-Dixon finds Republican Senate Primary a Toss-Up AND Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) in somewhat better shape of winning Re-Election in November……

Hello Folks!

One of the closed watched Primaries who are still outstanding is the Republican Senate Primary to determine which Candidate will take on Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) in November.

A new Las Vegas Review Journal Mason-Dixon Survey finds one time Republican Frontrunner Sue Lowden (R-NV) is losing Ground very quickly. Her lead has dwindled down to a single Point in the Republican Senate Primary over former State Representative Sharron Angle (R-NV)

The Survey also contains some welcomed News for Reid in a potential General Election with Lowden as it shows he’s only trailing her by 3 Points making the Race a Toss-Up for the first time this Cycle.

Las Vegas Review Journal / Mason-Dixon Survey

Nevada Senate

Republican Primary

Former Nevada State GOP Chair Sue Lowden  30 %
Former State Representative Sharron Angle  29 %
Businessman Danny Tarkanian  23 %
Chad Christensen  3 %
John Chachas  2 %
Others  2 %
Undecided  8 %

General Election

Former NV State GOP Chair Sue Lowden (R)  42 %
Senate Majority Leader Harry Mason Reid (D)  39 %
Others  3 %
Undecided  10 %

Businessman Danny Tarkanian (R)  42 %
Senate Majority Leader Harry Mason Reid (D)  41 %
Others  4 %
Undecided  10 %

Senate Majority Leader Harry Mason Reid (D)  42 %
Former State Representative Sharron Angle (R)  39 %
Others  5 %
Undecided  10 %

Analysis:

With the nasty Attacks in the GOP Primary Lowden’s Support has eroded. I think it’ll stretch out again after the June 8th Primary.

The Dog is happy to see this race close……Two months ago Reid was being written off….Lowden is now dropping like a stone…This is why the Dog tends to not give up on people…YOU NEVER KNOW!

Reid closes in Nevada……

Daniel’s Mason-Dixon poll shows that the Senate Majority Leader has closed on the GOP Senate race runners…

A new Mason-Dixon poll in Nevada shows Sue Lowden (R) barely edging Sharron Angle (R) for the Republican Senate nomination to challenge Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV), 30% to 29%, followed by Danny Tarkanian (R) at 23%.

In general election match ups, Lowden leads Reid, 42% to 39%, and Tarkanian leads Reid, 42% to 41%. However, Reid leads Angle, 42% to 39%.

It’s the first poll of this cycle that shows Reid could win re-election.

The Washington Post also does the story……

Hot Damn!….Could Senator Harry Reid be coming back in Nevada?

MyDD has a post with Harry Reid ahead of Sue Lowdon in a poll….

Daniel is gonna be all over this….

But Lowdon has been dropping in the polls….

To be fair Realclearpolitics has Lowdon ahead by double digits…..But the polls are a few weeks old……

He, he, he……It isn’t April 1st…is it?

Harry Reid Leapfrogs Sue Lowden in Nevada

by Jonathan Singer

The last several weeks in the Nevada Senate race have seen leading Republican candidate Sue Lowden badly stumble on the issue of healthcare, speaking out in favor of a bartering system in which patients pay their doctors with chickens, and incumbent Democrat Harry Reid speak outforcefully in favor of reform. Lo and behold, Reid is now surging into the lead:

Harry Reid 42% (D)
Sue Lowden 35% (R)
Scott Ashjian 3% (T)
Tim Fasano 5% (IAP)
None of these 8%
Undecided 8%

These numbers do come from a Democratic pollster, and as such should be taken with a grain of salt. What is more, Reid does not lead the other Republican polled in the race, Danny Tarkanian, with both candidates pulling in 37 percent of the vote.

That said, other recent polling on the race has also shown Lowden tanking…….

NOTE…..The Header on this is WRONG! (I originally wrote  Arizona ) ….The Dog was tired when he did the post!

No excuse……I’m changing it……

Senator Harry Reid and the question of Immigration………

Harry Reid is deep trouble……

The Only way the Dog see’s him keeping his seat is if the Tea {Party guy out there get’s at least 10% of the vote come November…..

Daniel inssits..that’s crazy……

He might be right…..

So with all this in mind…we come to Immigration……

Hispanics and Latinos’ gave Barack Obama their vote in the last election with the hope that something 180 degrees from George Bush’s policies would be done….

That hasn’t happened…

First the Economy fell…cutting off incentives  for illegals to rick making the trip across the border…..

Then the increase in Border Patrol agents started on Bush’s watch resulted in more enforcement

Napolitano has been forced to increase enforcement also to appease the GOP in Congress….

And there has been virtually NO movement on Immigration also because of the Healthcare Bill…….

Whew!

Now we get Harry Reid…..

In the  fight for his political life he must again make a personal choice…..

Put off Healthcare and help the swing district Democratic Senator’s and House Memenbers…or…

Bring it to the table and help himself with his sizable latino voters in Nevada?

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s (D-Nev.) reelection interests are putting him at odds with the centrists he has vigorously protected over the past year and a half on the issue of immigration reform.

Vulnerable senators like Blanche Lincoln (D-Ark.) want to stay away from immigration reform during an election year, but political experts in Nevada say mobilizing Hispanic voters could be the key to a reelection victory for Reid, whose favorability rating is below 40 percent.

One centrist Democratic senator, who spoke on condition of anonymity so as not to offend Reid, said this is an instance in which the leader’s political needs conflict with what’s best for colleagues from conservative states, such as Lincoln.

Hispanics make up 20 percent of Nevada’s population and about 12 percent of its registered voters.

In 2008, Hispanic voters made up 15 percent of the people who actually went to the polls, and their overwhelming support for President Barack Obama helped him carry the state. Obama enjoyed nearly a 50-point advantage among Hispanic voters in Nevada.

“Reid feels he needs to roll the dice and work up some enthusiasm among the base and make sure they get out to vote,” said Ted Jelen, a professor of political science at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Job Approvals

President Barack Obama (D)

Approve  41 %
Disapprove  58 %

Governor Jim Gibbons (R)

Approve  42 %
Disapprove  57 %

Analysis:

This has gone from bad to worse for Reid. He now trails Lowden by 15 Points. Also very bad for him is that the Undecideds have dropped significantly to single digits. Obama also is incredibly “Underwater” which 41 % of Nevadans only approve of the Job he’s doing. Keep in mind Obama carried Nevada in 2008 Presidential Race by nearly 15 Points. Unless the President gets his Approvals to the high 40ties Reid is “DAMAGED GOODS”

Businessman Danny Tarkanian (R)  50 %
Incumbent Senator Harry Mason Reid (D)  37 %
Others  9 %

Job Approvals

President Barack Obama (D)

Approve  44 %

Governor Jim Gibbons (R)

One thing is CERTAIN looking at these Numbers: Incumbent Governor Gibbons (R-NV) WON’T be the Republican Nominee for Governor this year. Harry Reid is now stuck in the high 30ties – not good.
