Hillary grows more popular than Obama……

It sure is easier to be in the public’s eye as Secretary of State then as President…..

By any measure — favorability ratings or job approval — Americans by a sizable margin have warmer views of the secretary of state than they do of the president. This is of little use to Clinton beyond bragging rights, but among Hillary ’08 fans there is some satisfaction that the woman Obama once cut down as “likable enough” is now more liked than he is. Depending on the measure and the poll, she leads him by roughly 10 to 25 percentage points.

To understand why, look no further than their calendars for Monday. The president was in Alabama and Mississippi, trying again to change the public perception that his administration has been weak in its response to the oil spill. The secretary of state was in Washington receiving plaudits for being a “passionate leader” and for taking a “resolute and genuine” stand against human trafficking and slavery.

In the ceremonial Ben Franklin Room of the State Department, the passionate and resolute Clinton vowed her commitment “to abolishing this horrible crime” against human dignity. “Traffickers must be brought to justice,” she said.

For a public figure, few issues are as politically safe; the slavery and exploitation lobby, after all, was unlikely to issue a rebuttal. Clinton finished her day Monday with a speech on the need for help in sub-Saharan Africa; no criticism from the keep-Africa-poor movement was heard.

Contrast that with Obama, who had only grim tidings for Gulf Coast residents about the BP oil spill. He spoke to them of a “fear that it could have a long-term impact on a way of life that has been passed on for generations.”

Give Obama points for honesty, but that’s not going to boost his poll numbers.

Previous secretaries of state Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice were both more popular than their boss, President George W. Bush. But such a trend is not universal: Warren Christopher didn’t have ratings as high as his boss, President Bill Clinton.

Hillary Clinton helped her situation by sticking to relatively low-profile issues. While the White House drove the divisive policies such as Afghanistan, she has busied herself in quieter corners of the world, enhancing the perception that she’s above the political fray.

Hillary Clinton finds redemption as the Nation’s Secretary of State….

While Barack Obama won the democratic primary for presdient….and went on to get the job…..a strange thing has happend….Hillary Clinton has found redemption from the nations ‘news-watching’ public.…she currently leads the President in the Clarus Poll and a recent Gallop poll…..

The former First Lady and New York State Senator ran one the worst first half season presidential primary campaigns (which cost her the nomination), but has found that people respect her trademark hard work ethos and her traveling all over the planet for her country and her boss…but,  to be fair to the president…. she has excaped the poll robbing problems Obama has been saddled with…..Healthcare, The Economy and Wall Street bailouts…..

While not in the drivers seat…and tired from being on the road more than the president (image that?) she must smile to herself when she see’s Obama taking shoots from the right…and the left….he, he, he

You know…..if she keeps this up she could run????………..

Hillary is now more popular than the President!……

According to a new Gallup poll…the nations Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton has become more popular than her boss…….by going back to being the basic her, working hard,  diving into the work of her job, tending to the basic’s, and doing her traveling, she become popular with the american people all over again……

While President Obama’s popularity increased for few days after the Nobel announcement…his numbers returned to their recent levels quickly……the President has experienced the traditional drop in popularity due issues management,  and Clinton has gone back to being a public icon, without the negatives a working president would earn in doing their job…….

A little bit on Obama’s drop in the polls and his usage of his popularity to effect change…….

We all know that Healthcare is driving the President’s poll numbers down ( he’s doing all right with the economy, but no one’s looking right now ) …… but I for one, believe that people still believe in Obama personally. Tom Schaller, asks in FiveThirtyEight , how has Obama used his political capital ( or popularity)?…..

Schaller gives four ways that Obama has worked it……..1) Obama has spend his political capital freely…not holding back…..2) Obama has worked it, thinking of the future…..3) Did Obama misjudge the push back on healthcare….thinking it ( the capital/popularity) would negate the opposition…… 4)In spite of  it,  he got mugged……Schaller’s piece is good… and he provides a graphic up front in the piece also……

As for me……For the past nine months I  believe that Obama has been true to his campaign speeches for the Presidency…. Using his capital and popularity to effect change in the basic  sense……he has challenged the status quo in that the congress, political parties and executive branches don’t want to deal with this HUGE issue…

This is what he promised  America to get elected…..and he is in it for the ‘Longhaul’,  and as I posted on August 16th……..also….as I posted on August 13…… this is Politics…and it will be up to Obama to ‘ decide if he goes for the jugular, with the Bluedogs, and Republicans, or dances around the ‘Public Option’  (which Liberals, and Progressives have made a beachhead ) issue’….

Update: A look back at August shows that things wasn’t so bad for Obama, who has swung back up in the polls…………
