10 Years after 9/11 2001….New York City and the World will remember…..

It is with a heavy heart that I will get thru September 11, 2011…

For I knew personally some of the people who did not come home from that days events…

For that day 10 years ago my job was to comfort the children on the people who worked in New York City…

On that day my contribution was to assure those worried that their children were in a safe place….

I am happy to One World Trade Center rebuilt….

I spent passing time in the old one….

I pass on my prays to people who lost loved ones on that day in threelocations in America…

I pray for strength for the people who have to live with their loses…

And I hope that while some of us may complain about the coasts…

I can only hope that our Government and it’s actor will spare nothing to do what ever they can to make sure that

NOTHING

like this will EVER happen again….

Amen…..

New York City will commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks with a ceremony at the World Trade Center site on Sunday, when the nation pauses to grieve for the dead and reflect on the decade since terrorists toppled the Twin Towers, damaged the Pentagon and crashed a jetliner in rural Pennsylvania.

President Barack Obama and his predecessor, former President George W. Bush, will be among the eight current or former elected officials to deliver readings at the ceremony, which is set to begin at 8:35 a.m. with the sound of bagpipes and drummers. Mr. Obama, the first sitting president to attend the annual ceremony, gave the green light earlier this year for the military mission that killed Osama bin Laden, the mastermind behind the deadliest foreign attack on American soil.

While most of the attention will focus on New York’s ceremony, there will also be events at the Pentagon and in Pennsylvania, plus many smaller observances in communities across the country, from a stair climb in Seattle to a 9/11 memorial dedication in Sarasota, Fla.

On Saturday in Shanksville, Pa., the 40 passengers and crew who fought back against their hijackers aboard Flight 93 before it crashed on Sept. 11 were honored for their heroism in a ceremony dedicating the first phase of a memorial at the nation’s newest national park, the Associated Press reported.

The hijackers intended to crash the plane in Washington but “never made it because of the determination and valor of the passengers and crew of Flight 93, that plane crashed in this field, less than 20 minutes by air” from the target, said Jon Jarvis, director of the National Park Service, according to the AP.

Vice President Joe Biden and former Presidents George W. Bush and Bill Clinton were among those attending the Shanksville event, the AP said.

The 10th anniversary also marks the official opening of the National September 11 Memorial—twin reflecting pools that sit within the footprints of the Twin Towers and feature bronze panels on which the names of the dead are inscribed. A 9/11 museum is scheduled to open at the World Trade Center site next September.

“As we reflect back on the past, let us remember not only the agony and anguish of the attacks but how we channeled our pain into something positive and powerful,” New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg said Tuesday in a speech about the rebirth of Lower Manhattan. “Let us remember not only how the towers fell, but how we rose up—determined to defend our freedoms.”

Second terrorist attack in Norway….Youth Camp shooting leaves 80 dead….

The blast struck around 3:30 p.m. local time near the 17-story building that holds the prime minister’s office — he was not there at the time — blowing out almost every window and setting off a billowing fire at the nearby oil ministry.

Two hours later, a man dressed in a police uniform opened fire on Utoya Island, 25 miles northwest of the capital, where the ruling Labor Party was holding an annual conference for young people, police said.

“Ambulances and helicopters are flying nonstop,” Kvernen said. “The losses are quite huge.”

Police originally reported the death toll at the youth conference at 10, but early Saturday they said they had discovered many more victims.

Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg was rushed to a secret location in the aftermath of the blast but spoke to reporters late Friday.

“I have a message to whoever attacked us. It’s a message from all of Norway,” he said. “You will not destroy us. You will not destroy our democracy.”

But many residents of Oslo said the attacks would probably have a deep impact. For years, the most fortified building in town has been the U.S. Embassy — the subject of eye-rolling from those who thought the security measures were unnecessary.

“This is one of those events that will change everything,” Christopher Wright, 35, of Oslo said by telephone. He was at a bakery a thousand feet from the government buildings when the explosion happened….

Russian arms sales to Syria worry the US and Isreal…..

The Russian’s are working on supplying Syria with fighter aircraft,  armoured vehicles and air defense missile systems…..

These action’s ……

Which will provide the Russian’s with cash…..

Will cause headaches for the UNited Sates and Israel which do not want Middle East countries arming themselves..

While the US has supplied the same level equipment to other Middle East countries…

Syria is seen as a Iranian proxy state….Than helps support terrorism

With Iran bent on obtaining a nuclear weapon…and the Israeli’s and the United States basically unable to stop them…

A rearmed of Syria is not what they want to see……

Russia is supplying Syria with warplanes, armored vehicles and air defense systems under existing contracts, ITAR-Tass News Agency quoted the head of the country’s state military agency as saying.

Mikhail Dmitriyev, head of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation, said Russia was selling Syria MiG-29 fighter jets, Pantsir short-range air defense systems and armored vehicles.

No further details were provided.

President Dmitry Medvedev this week paid the first-ever visit by a head of state from Moscow to Damascus, where he said the use of nuclear energy “may get a second wind” in Syria – a remark that prompted concern from Washington.

Russia’s arms sales and possible nuclear cooperation with Syria, which has close ties to Iran, is unnerving for Israel and the U.S., which earlier this month renewed sanctions on Syria for another year, accusing it of supporting “terrorist” groups……

Moscow rocked by a terrorist bombing……..

Demonstrating that terrorism knows no bounds……..Two female suicide bombers  set off bombs in Moscow today…….The expolsions took the lives of 37 people……..and reminded the world the even Russia has it problems with Islāmic terrorists…..

The first attack occurred as commuters were exiting a packed train at a station near the headquarters of the F.S.B., the successor to the Soviet-era K.G.B. Officials said they suspected that the attack there was intended as a message to the security services, which have helped lead the crackdown on Islamic extremism in Chechnya and other parts of the Caucasus region in southern Russia.

The two explosions spread panic throughout the capital as people searched for missing relatives and friends, and the authorities tried to determine whether more attacks were planned. The subway system is one of the world’s most extensive and well-managed, and it serves as a vital artery for Moscow’s commuters, carrying as many as 10 million people a day.

“The terrorist acts were carried out by two female terrorist bombers,” said Moscow’s mayor, Yuri M. Luzhkov. “They happened at a time when there would be the maximum number of victims.”

Mr. Luzhkov said 23 people were killed in the first explosion, at the Lubyanka station, and 12 people were killed 40 minutes later at the Park Kultury station. At least two others died later. More than 100 people were injured.

There were no immediate claims of responsibility.

Prime Minister Vladimir V. Putin, the country’s paramount leader, cut short a trip to Siberia, returning to Moscow to oversee the federal response. Mr. Putin built his reputation in part on his success at suppressing terrorism, so the attacks could be considered a challenge to his stature.

Mr. Putin vowed that “the terrorists will be destroyed.”

President Dmitri A. Medvedev, Mr. Putin’s protégé, was in Moscow and was briefed on the blasts by top law enforcement and security advisers.
