I’m  a VERY HAPPY Met fan today….

The Team has just completed a sweep of three games from Baltimore…

The Phillies…

Who the Mets beat the last time around are BELOW the Mets in the standings!…..

David's two homers lift Mets to first sweep away from home

From the New York Post……

BALTIMORE — David Wright hit two homers, Chris Carter and Jason Bay also connected, and the Mets beat the Baltimore Orioles 11-4 Sunday for a three-game sweep. Bay entered in an 0-for-16 skid before going 4-for-4 with four runs scored….

Francisco Rodriguez of the Mets…comes to work with glasses….can the rest of the team fix their problems?

[ Mets closer Francisco Rodriguez, who has battled pinkeye this spring, wore wraparound glasses in his debut. ]

The Dog is a Mets fan…..

I know?…..What can I tell you?……

Anyways my son is on my case to bring the Mets here…so I gotta do it……

The team …after the last few years needs to get healthy and get through August in one piece…

They ALWAYS start the session off strong…and then collapse in August……and last year was the worst…..

Hopefully these guys can get better medical attention, glasses included and take their vitamins (that’s all ) and put together enough wins to get in the playoffs……

The Mets had no shortage of injuries last year, including wounded hips, elbows and knees.

This year, at least, there is more variety to the team’s continuing medical problems. Jose Reyes is dealing with a hyperactive thyroid and Francisco Rodriguez has spent much of the spring being semi-quarantined as he tries to recover from conjunctivitis, the contagious infection more commonly known as pinkeye.

When Reyes will return is unclear. But Rodriguez made it to the mound Monday, pitching in a game for the first time this spring, and he did so in style, resurrecting the wraparound prescription glasses that look a little like goggles and, for several years, gave him something of a signature look.

Rodriguez did not wear the glasses when he first came up to the major leagues with the Anaheim Angels late in the 2002 season, when he became an instant sensation as he helped the Angelscapture the World Series. By 2004, he had them on as he began to take on the role of one of baseball’s best, and most colorful, closers. By 2007, they were gone, and a season later he saved a major-league-record 62 games.

The glasses, he said, had started to irritate the bridge of his nose.

But for now the old look is back, and on Monday it seemed to work wonders. Rodriguez needed only seven pitches to retire the St. Louis Cardinals in order in the top of ninth. He earned the victory when Angel Pagan hit a two-run homer with one out in the bottom of the inning to give the Mets an 6-5 win.
